Cooking instruments: the air fryer, a bowl, a whisk, a cutting board, a knife, and a plate
Tip: most air fryers will help you cook at least one great salmon dish but it wouldn’t hurt getting your inspiration from various recipes. This DELLA 048-GM-48207 Electric Air Fryer will include a special cookbook in the package that you might want to check out…
You won’t find another fish out there that combines easier or better with so many seasonings and spices… Try a mustard-glazed version of salmon like this one, with Dijon mustard, vinegar and brown sugar, to thrill your taste buds first. Hot or cold, simple or with a green side dish, your waistline (and not only!) will be grateful for this choice.
Take the salmon out of the refrigerator and let it sit at the room temperature for a couple of minutes;
Get the bowl and start adding the ingredients for the glaze, about 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard, 2 tbsp of vinegar, and 2 tbsp of brown sugar;
Whisk the marinade well, until ingredients blend together;
Use the cutting board to slice the salmon into 6-ounce pieces;
Soak the salmon pieces in the marinade, cover it well, and put it back to fridge for about 15 minutes.
Preheat the air fryer at 130 degrees Celsius for 3 minutes or so;
Place the salmon pieces with the skin side down, in the hot pan;
Cook it for about 10 minutes and transfer on a plate;
Serve it hot, on a bed of blanched greens, like asparagus.
Note: Getting juicy salmon is a delicate matter and how much you should keep it will depend on the thickness of the salmon. Always put it in a very hot pan and with the skin side down, pressing with your fingers a little bit, to make sure it will maintain its flat shape.
Try it with a twist: Salmon is a delicate fish that can be beautifully complemented with so many spices! If you’re not really into this mustard-glazed thing, you can go simple, just with lemon juice, salt, pepper, and olive oil, giving it a good rub with trimmed parsley right before you serve it… Just as easily, you can experience with a different kind of oil, ditching the classy olive oil for a bolder grape seed oil!
